An iiNet CSR is not your nor­mal con­tact cen­tre oper­a­tive. With a require­ment to meet the company’s expec­ta­tions of awe­some cus­tomer ser­vice while help­ing sup­port and grow the cus­tomer base through tech­ni­cal sup­port, sales and account man­age­ment – my duties include answer­ing calls, respond­ing to email and pro­vid­ing face-​to-​face con­tact through recep­tion and pro­mo­tions work.
As a Solu­tions Team mem­ber I han­dled high level com­plaints pro­vid­ing res­o­lu­tion of ongo­ing dis­putes that had made their way to the Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions Indus­try Ombuds­man. In this role it was imper­a­tive I had clear, con­cise writ­ten and ver­bal com­mu­ni­ca­tions skills.
As a Senior Cus­tomer Ser­vice Rep­re­sen­ta­tive, I coach and men­tor fel­low CSRs to help them achieve high lev­els of cus­tomer ser­vice. I also han­dle esca­lated com­plaints and make ongo­ing writ­ten con­tri­bu­tions to the company’s knowl­edge repos­i­tory – iiPedia.

As a Postal Deliv­ery Offi­cer, I was respon­si­ble for the daily sort­ing, sequenc­ing and deliv­ery of my round with sole respon­si­bil­ity to ensure every item of mail was deliv­ered or returned to sender as appro­pri­ate. I also worked PO Box sort­ing for a brief period.

The Sec­re­tary Trea­surer is an Exec­u­tive Direc­tor level posi­tion with the pri­mary respon­si­bil­ity of organ­is­ing and ensur­ing the keep­ing of good records of meet­ings, finances and poli­cies; and for direc­tion of the finance staff of the Guild.
In addi­tion to my every­day duties, dur­ing my short term of office I coor­di­nated the redraft­ing of the organisation’s con­sti­tu­tion to stream­line processes and mod­ernise the organ­i­sa­tion, drafted and rewrote many of the Guild’s cur­rent poli­cies and was a key organ­iser of the annual Guild elections.

As a vol­un­teer mem­ber of a fledg­ling youth advo­cacy group, I spent half my time on admin­is­tra­tive duties and the other two thirds on cre­at­ing and main­tain­ing qual­ity pol­icy, press releases, web site con­tent and inter­nal com­mu­niqués. Although this organ­i­sa­tion is defunct the ideas expressed by it and the words it used still find their way into pub­lic dis­cus­sion of youth mat­ters in a num­ber of ways.
