Work History
iiNet
Perth, Western Australia, Australia
Oct 2007 – Present
(Senior) Customer Service Representative
An iiNet CSR is not your normal contact centre operative. With a requirement to meet the company’s expectations of awesome customer service while helping support and grow the customer base through technical support, sales and account management – my duties include answering calls, responding to email and providing face-to-face contact through reception and promotions work.
As a Solutions Team member I handled high level complaints providing resolution of ongoing disputes that had made their way to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman. In this role it was imperative I had clear, concise written and verbal communications skills.
As a Senior Customer Service Representative, I coach and mentor fellow CSRs to help them achieve high levels of customer service. I also handle escalated complaints and make ongoing written contributions to the company’s knowledge repository – iiPedia.
Australia Post
Midland, Western Australia, Australia
Nov 2006 – Oct 2007
Postal Delivery Officer
Working for the Post Office, people put a lot of trust into you. As a Postal Delivery Officer, I was responsible for the daily sorting, sequencing and delivery of my round with sole responsibility to ensure every item of mail was delivered or returned to sender as appropriate. I also worked PO Box sorting for a brief period.
Edith Cowan University Student Guild
Joondalup, Western Australia, Australia
Jun 2006 – Nov 2006
Secretary Treasurer
The Secretary Treasurer is an Executive Director level position with the primary responsibility of organising and ensuring the keeping of good records of meetings, finances and policies; and for direction of the finance staff of the Guild.
In addition to my everyday duties, during my short term of office I coordinated the redrafting of the organisation’s constitution to streamline processes and modernise the organisation, drafted and rewrote many of the Guild’s current policies and was a key organiser of the annual Guild elections.
ImagineOz Taskforce
North Perth, Western Australia, Austria
Sep 2001 – Nov 2003
Marketing Manager
As a volunteer member of a fledgling youth advocacy group, I spent half my time on administrative duties and the other two thirds on creating and maintaining quality policy, press releases, web site content and internal communiqués. Although this organisation is defunct the ideas expressed by it and the words it used still find their way into public discussion of youth matters in a number of ways.

If a picture is worth a million words, it is important the words that describe the picture do it justice. This is what I found out in 2001 while writing and using the scripts and technical documentation used in describing concepts and instruction to the various contributors to the production process.
